Title:   Lead Data Architect - (Multiple positions available)

Job Location:  901 S. Bolmar Street, West Chester, PA 19382 and various unanticipated worksites in U.S.

Primary Duties:

 Perform development activities of the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), optimizing data processes for efficient data flow between source and target systems.  Architect scalable data solutions to support data integration from various sources ensuring consistent, high-quality data for business reporting.  Design complex, enterprise-wide data models that align with critical business processes, enabling advanced reporting and analytics.  Create and maintain SSIS packages and processes to support data migration and integration, ensuring data consistency and accuracy.  Build and optimize models for large datasets, improving query performance and supporting detailed reporting.  Design interactive dashboards and visualizations tools, based on business requirements, to facilitate smarter data-driven decision-making.  Implement dynamic data transformations and calculations, enabling advanced analytics and customized business insights.  Ensure data quality through data cleansing, transformation, conversion, and aggregation techniques, resolving inconsistencies and improving data reliability.  Manage stored procedures to streamline data retrieval and reuse.  Perform data security classifications and implement data loss prevention strategies to safeguard sensitive information.  Roving employment. Duties may be located at client sites throughout U.S.  Telecommuting from home office may be available per company policy.

Requirements:

Education:  Bachelor’s degree (or foreign educational equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology or a closely related technical field plus at least 5 years of post-degree, progressive experience in each of the below items; OR, alternatively,

A Master’s degree (or foreign educational equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology or a closely related technical field plus at least 3 years of experience, gained at any time, in each of the below items.

Experience:  Depending on the degree held, must have 5 years or 3 years of experience as described above in each of the following:

  • Designing and maintaining EDWs, which store and manage large volumes of data.
  • Developing and managing Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
  • Experience with DAX for advanced calculations and Power Query for data transformation.
  • Creating complex data models (such as Star Schema, Snowflake Schema) for organizing large datasets for querying and reporting.
  • Implementing data quality checks, addressing inconsistencies, and transforming data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Experience with cloud-based data storage and analytics platforms such as Azure Data Factory, AWS Redshift, or Google BigQuery.
  • Experience extracting data from multiple data sources, such as MS SQL Server, Oracle, MS Access, Teradata, DB2, Flat files, Excel files.
