About the role
Join the Enterprise Data Office in the Bilingual Senior Specialist, Data Management and Analysis position. In this role, you will contribute with the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of an Informatica Data Management Cloud (IDMC) solution. You will work closely with both business and technical teams to ensure CMHC realizes the full value of its data assets, while acting as a key liaison between EDO and business stakeholders to support enterprise-wide data management initiatives.
 

What you’ll do:
   

  • Design and maintain the Informatica Data Management Cloud (IDMC) solutions with existing client systems.
  • Prepare insightful and value-added written analyses for management’s review and take initiative to conduct analysis required to explain performance issues (positive and negative changes) such as:
    • Data integration workflows using Informatica Data Management Cloud (IDMC) to ensure efficient data movement and transformation, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to IDMC data management products.
    • Identification, documentation, and approval of requirements from business and technical teams for the implementation of IDMC capabilities (functional and non-functional).  
    • User acceptance testing phase for the implementation of Data Quality, Master Data Management (MDM) and Reference Data Management (RDM) and support the change management team on the implementation of a federated stewardship framework.
    • Monitor and optimize the performance of IDMC solutions, ensuring high availability and scalability. 
  • Contribute to the continuous revision of the Data Capabilities roadmap, identifying and prioritizing IDMC capabilities that align to business needs.  
  • Execute ad hoc analysis to provide senior management with data and recommendations to assist with new policy development. 
  • Lead interactions with relevant business units in order to drive the identification and development of appropriate requirements, performance measures and targets. 
  • Provide high level analytical support in the creation of analytical reports. Ensure data validation and quality control checks are performed and take the lead in ensuring accuracy and relevance. 
  • Lead a continuous process of improvement for generating KPIs and follows up to ensure desired results are achieved, taking the lead on any revisions that may be necessary.
  • Take a lead role in working with business units to identify and develop performance measures and targets; provide expert advice and guidance on adoption of relevant measures and targets. 
  • Lead the resolution of any issues to assure the integrity of the information held in the system. Proactively identify issues that could compromise integrity and leads initiatives to address issues.


What you should have:

  

  • An undergraduate degree in a related field such as business administration, computer science, finance, and a minimum of 7 years of experience in Data Governance and/or Data management processes and technology. 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical and systems thinking skills.  
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in both official languages (English and French), including presentation skills with the ability to persuade, influence and debate with a variety of audiences using tact, diplomacy and judgment.   
  • The ability to troubleshoot complex data integration issues and provide effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • An experience performing a similar role with Informatica Data Management Cloud (IDMC) or similar technology used in the delivery of MDM, RDM, Data Quality and Data integration. 
  • Awareness of cloud architectures, specifically AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). 
  • Strong knowledge in technical skills with different sources of data collection (Advance Excel, SAS, R, Python, Databricks, Power BI, SharePoint, Project and Cloud Based Applications).
  • Also, ability to write and manipulate code, to gather necessary data, is required.


It would be great if you also had:  

 

  • An experience with project management and progress tracking tools such as Azure DevOps.
  • An experience with Agile development methodologies. 
  • Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks and practices (e.g., DAMA, RDM, MDM, Data Quality).
  • A certification in Informatica Data Management Cloud or in data governance (e.g., CDMP, BABOK).
  • Ability to take initiative, operate independently, and drive complex data management projects to completion.
