Job Description & Summary

To solve important problems we need diverse talent. Our people use their creativity, authenticity and human differences to be champions of change. When people from diverse backgrounds, with different points of view, work together, we create incredible value - for our clients, our people and our society.

Our Deals Data & Analytics team embeds Data and Analytics across the whole Deal life cycle. From Pre-Deal - working with our M&A Lead Advisory business to help unpick trends and originate leads. Over Deals Execution - working with Financial and Commercial Diligence teams to get deeper into data. To Post Deal - working with our Deals clients to maximise their value from their investments, blending technical skills and strategy to advise top ASX organisations, not-for-profit companies and private clients with spectacular results.

Our Melbourne team is looking for a Senior Consultant or Manager to join them and apply commercial acumen to extract insights in a fast-paced Deals environment.

Use the know-how you've gained in your hands on experience of transforming data. You will have a working knowledge of and experience of data structuring and modelling (data model design, SQL, DAX etc); data visualisation tools (e.g. PowerBI) and data transformation tools (e.g. Alteryx).

With new problems to solve, you'll have plenty of support and opportunities to grow. If you are self-driven and a strong communicator, you’ll fit right into our team and our human-led and tech-enabled workplace.

As an expert in Deal Analytics, you’ll be required to solve problems by being able to navigate data and provide creative alternative solutions to challenges. You will be able to work autonomously at times, help our clients to solve important problems and be able to articulate each step of your work with the Deals team and clients. In our Deal Analytics team, you’ll also use your tertiary qualifications in business, economics, technology or similar to:

  • Extract tangible insights for our clients to bring data to life in the context of a client’s investment decision
  • Develop combinations of scripts, functions, and workflows to manipulate data to analyse it
  • Set up analytics packs / dashboards using visualisation tools for analysis, and working collaboratively with our clients and other PwC engagement teams to create meaningful analysis
  • Drive adoption of data and analytics capabilities across the Deals business more widely
  • Mentor and develop junior staff members and members of our offshore team

It’s time to move forward. And upward.

You want to grow, reach new heights and move up the corporate ladder.

We’ll give you a career-boosting role that:

  • Is strong on growth and reward
  • Provides meaningful work and leadership opportunities
  • Has competitive and transparent salary packages with the opportunity for yearly bonuses and promotions
  • Supports you to grow your leadership skills with our Academy, study support and access to strong mentors across our global network
  • Prioritises new families with 26 weeks of parental leave
  • Helps you prioritise your life outside of work, with lifestyle and wellness benefits up to $500 per year.

We're an inclusive bunch, and we try to make life easier - for our clients, our teams and our communities. If you need reasonable adjustments when applying, just let us know.

Karen Jeavons is the Recruitment Manager for this role. As the team experiences high volumes of applications, we appreciate your patience to allow for a timely and fair process for all.
