Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to oversee data integration efforts, ensuring seamless data modeling, warehouse maintenance, and script development for data integration. This role involves managing and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders for data collection, normalization, compilation, and analysis, guaranteeing data integrity and effective visualization of large datasets.

All candidates must possess an active TS/SCI clearance from day one.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee data integration work, including developing data models and maintaining the data warehouse.
  • Write and optimize scripts for data integration to ensure data flows efficiently.
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams for data collection, normalization, and analysis.
  • Conduct data quality investigations to enhance accuracy and usability.
  • Manage, analyze, and visualize large datasets from various internal and external platforms.
  • Ensure the quality of data architecture across the organization and recommend system application changes.
  • Provide expert recommendations on hardware and software needs, supporting implementation.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Extensive experience in data engineering, integration, and modeling.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale datasets, ensuring accuracy and visualization capabilities.
  • Strong skills in data warehouse management, SQL, and scripting languages.
  • Ability to recommend, implement, and optimize hardware/software solutions.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud-based data solutions (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with big data frameworks (Hadoop, Spark, etc.).
  • Knowledge of machine learning or AI-driven data analytics.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

  • Inside office environment.
  • Working on a computer for long periods of time.
  • May involve long period of sitting at a desk.
  • The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures.
