Job Duties

The Data Visualization Analyst position is critical to the new data culture under construction at Norfolk State University. A key element to this new culture is providing data to end users that allows them to quickly glean actionable insights. The Data Visualization Analyst transforms complex data into dynamic, interactive, easily understandable visual formats like charts, graphs and dashboards to help stakeholders identify trends, patterns and insights, ultimately enabling data-driven decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications

- Understand and capture stakeholder needs to develop requirements specifications, reports and project briefs.
- Collect, clean and prepare data for visualizations.
- Design and create data visualizations that are clear, concise and informative.
- Provide knowledge and expertise in data analysis to understand and solve data issues and create data visualizations that are both informative & visually appealing.
