JOB OVERVIEW

MartinFed is seeking a Senior Data Architect to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Data Architect, you will design and develop complex, scalable data solutions that meet our client's business needs. Your expertise will guide the integration of various technologies and ensure systems operate seamlessly. You'll be involved in application development, infrastructure planning, and ensuring system integration aligns with client objectives.

This is a highly collaborative role requiring strong technical expertise, client engagement skills, and the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously. You will be tasked with analyzing data models, creating efficient architectures, and turning complex business requirements into real, functional solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement data architectures, ensuring scalability and reliability.

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable architecture and solution designs.

  • Work across multiple client engagements simultaneously while maintaining high levels of service delivery.

  • Lead and coordinate the efforts of a team of consultants, ensuring effective communication and execution of project phases.

  • Perform detailed analysis of data models and identify optimization opportunities for efficiency and performance.

  • Provide strategic guidance on system integration to ensure data flows seamlessly between different systems and technologies.

  • Develop and enforce data governance practices to maintain data quality and compliance across the organization.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously enhance your technical expertise.

Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizen with a DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role with a strong focus on data modeling, system integration, and infrastructure planning.

  • Advanced understanding of data management, data warehousing, and database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, ETL, Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).

  • Strong background in designing and implementing large-scale, enterprise-level data architectures.

  • Experience with data governance and ensuring data security and compliance standards.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to create innovative, scalable solutions.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple engagements simultaneously while delivering results on time and within budget.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with modern data technologies such as Big Data frameworks, AI/ML integration, or real-time data processing.

  • Certifications in cloud platforms or relevant data architecture certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, etc.)

  • Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.

  • Inside office environment.
  • Working on a computer for long periods of time.
  • May involve long period of sitting at a desk.
  • The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures.
