The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a highly motivated Experienced Software Integration Systems Engineer to join our P-8A Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS) Training Systems Integration and Test team in Richardson, TX. This role will serve as an individual contributor, focusing on the integration and testing of software for the P-8A AAS Training Systems.
Position Responsibilities:
Maintain operational readiness of P-8A AAS training devices
Integrate locally developed software into the training devices
Integrate and troubleshoot software from external entities, requiring collaboration for configuration and troubleshooting
Configure, verify, and integrate map and radar databases into training systems
Develop and maintain scripts used for the installation, integration, and configuration of software products
Investigate and troubleshoot issues with training devices, collaborating with team members and external entities to determine resolutions
Verify device functionality following software integration and cyber updates
Support testing of training system devices to ensure performance and reliability
Perform data processing of flight data to extract data products for use in electronic classroom instruction
Participate in scrum meetings and utilize Agile tools for task tracking.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).
Security Clearance and/or Special Program Access or other Government Access requirements are mandatory for this position. Much of the work at The Boeing Company is of a classified nature and many positions require a security clearance, the granting of which is at the discretion of Government authorities. A final security clearance is mandatory for this position prior to start. If you cannot or do not obtain the required final Security Clearance and/or Special Program Access or other Government Access requirements in a time frame established by program management, this offer may be withdrawn. Once your clearances are granted, if they are not maintained, the result may be reassignment, reclassification, or termination of employment.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
DoD 8570 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA)
1+ years of experience with Linux Operating Systems
3+ years of experience and competency in troubleshooting, analysis, and problem-solving strategies
Experience in software integration and testing, preferably in defense or aerospace environments
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and challenging environment
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
Willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time domestically for remote installations
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Familiarity with the P-8A training devices
Experience with scripting languages such as: bash, PowerShell, python.
Experience working with Agile tools
3+ Experience with Linux Operating Systems

Summary pay range: $104,550 - $141,450
