Advanced Manufacturing Group – Software and Systems Engineer
TTM Technologies is hiring a Software Engineer for our Advanced Manufacturing Group. The role starts Q3 2025 and is based in the Advanced Manufacturing Center in Stafford Springs, CT.
ABOUT THE JOB
You will join TTMs Advanced Manufacturing Group. Our team is comprised of 2 tool and die makers, their apprentices, 1 lead electromechanical engineer, 3 mechanical engineers, 1 electrical engineer, and 1 software engineer. We share the goal of advancing and expanding manufacturing capabilities through hardware and software development and testing. Here are some of the things that you would work on in the first 12-18 months.
Interface manufacturing equipment with TTM’s Industry 4.0 platform utilizing common communication protocols. Deploy and connect sensors to monitor additional KPIs. Maintain and update existing software stack deployed throughout North America. Add additional MES capabilities to our 4.0 platform’s software stack. Work on software to control new equipment. Develop algorithms for control of manufacturing processes. Work with engineers and team lead to develop scalable software development practices. All members have a role in researching across our discipline and suggesting new areas of focus. Support multi-plant automation working groups in your area of expertise. Mentor interns and new engineers in your area of expertise. Develop short curricula and training as requested in your area of expertise.

Who you will work with: All members of the Advanced Manufacturing Group. Process engineers throughout North America. IT security and infrastructure teams.
ABOUT YOU
We’re looking for a candidate with ability to rapidly learn new technologies and concepts and integrate them into practical systems. Ideally, this candidate has done an internship with TTM automation program OR another company in industrial automation who is familiar with the concepts of motion control, process and equipment control, and some of the advanced technologies in the automation industry (additive manufacturing, computer vision, and AI). The primary focus of this role is programming and software development, so you should be well-versed in 1 or more programming languages and familiar with concepts regarding computer engineering.
You should either be familiar with working with small diverse teams or have a strong desire to do so.
You should be familiar with scalable software practices from working with multiple developers or on an open-source project.
You should have a passion for building things, demonstrated by previous work or projects.
You should have 0-5 years in industry.
This role will provide software support to a diverse set of technologies and projects, so you should have a broad interest in technology and its advancement.
Most used languages are Python and C#, but practical development experience and a desire to learn are the key requirements for the role.

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that my be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.
