Senior PHP Developer + Data Engineering

We're seeking a skilled Full-Stack Developer to join our SIS (Student Information System) Platform team. In this role, you'll analyze, optimize, and build data pipelines that synchronize student information while collaborating with Data Engineers and Product teams to create a centralized SIS data management solution. You will also create internal tooling to monitor existing SIS processes and enable better supportability.

• Analyze existing product-specific SIS synchronization processes.
  
• Enhance performance, resolve bugs, and optimize the costs of current data pipelines.
  
• Develop monitoring solutions (reports/dashboards) for existing processes.
  
• Collaborate cross-functionally to design and implement a global SIS ETL solution.
  
• Centralize SIS data management for the entire organization.
  

Requirements

• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
  
• Self-motivated leadership skills with the ability to drive initiatives in a small team environment.
  
• Extensive experience with data analysis and relational database technologies: Complex SQL query development and optimization, Database schema design, and performance tuning.
  
• Proficiency in PHP development.
  
• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
  
• Demonstrated expertise in designing complex data workflows, Full-stack development experience.
  
• Experience with modern front-end tooling, such as React, Node.js backend development
  
• Node.js backend development (JavaScript or TypeScript)
  
• Python programming skills.
  
• Familiarity with modern ETL/ELT tools like AWS Glue, DBT, PySpark, and Databricks.
  
• Experience with NoSQL technologies, particularly DynamoDB and OpenSearch/Elasticsearch.
