SUMMARY:
As a Data Analyst you will support Kestra’s Wealth Management team by analyzing business metrics, generating insights, and creating reports to drive strategic decision-making. Reporting to the Director of Wealth Management Analytics, this role involves working with various data sources and tools to deliver actionable insights that enhance client services and optimize business processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and proficient in data analysis tools and technologies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Collect, clean, shape, and analyze custodian and investment product data for reporting packages
• Develop & maintain dashboards in Tableau to visualize key performance metrics for stakeholders
• Write & optimize SQL / NoSQL queries to extract data from relational and non-relational databases
• Utilize Excel for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and creating pivot tables to support reporting
• Collaborate with broader Data & Analytics organization to support data ETL pipelines
• Assist in the preparation of presentations & reports to communicate insights to senior leadership
• Ensure data accuracy & integrity by performing validation and quality-control checks
• Support ad-hoc data requests and contribute to cross-functional projects as needed
SKILLS:
• Proficiency in Tableau for creating interactive dashboards & data visualizations
• Strong Excel skills including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP and advanced formulas
• Working knowledge of SQL (for relational databases) and NoSQL (for handling unstructured data)
• Familiarity with Databricks, Snowflake, or other cloud-based platforms for data prep & analytics
• Basic understanding of database technologies and data warehousing concepts
• Ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful conclusions
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
• Effective communication skills to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Data Science, Statistics, or related field
• 0-2 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related role (internships and/or academic projects acceptable)
• Hands-on experience with Tableau, Excel, SQL, and/or NoSQL (coursework, internships, or personal projects acceptable)
• Exposure to Databricks, Snowflake, and/or other database technologies is a plus
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Tableau Desktop Specialist, Microsoft Excel, or SQL) are a plus
