Purpose:

The Velys Data and AI Products Team is seeking a Lead Analyst, Data & AI Products to be passionate about the intersection of data and devices.

You will be responsible for:

In this role, you will leverage your expertise in data science & analytics, AI, and machine learning to inform our upstream strategies and usher in AI in arthroplasty for JnJ MedTech.

Your experience in data science along with obsession with for building amazing user experiences will equip you to lead effectively in both design and go-to market assessments.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, R&D, and surgeon key opinion leaders, to ensure data-driven decision-making aligns with business objectives. Your contributions will be vital in shaping the future of our data and AI products, ultimately improving outcomes for healthcare professionals and patients alike.

Qualifications / Requirements:

Required:

• BS/BA degree is required. MS or MBA a plus.

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in medical devices in any of the following areas: Marketing, Sales, R&D, or a combination of experience in these functions is required.

• Strong background in data science and analytics methodologies

• Experience in upstream product ideation, including market assessment and requirements gathering 

• Experience in downstream customer experience optimization, focusing on user feedback and journey mapping 

• Experience with statistical analysis and machine learning techniques

• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

• Ability to translate complex data findings into actionable marketing strategies 

• Passion for innovative technologies

• Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork

Preferred:

• Experience in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL

• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)   

• Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus

• This position will require up to 10% domestic travel.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

The expected base pay range for this position is $91,000 to $147,200.

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis. Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)). This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program. Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits: Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year of Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
