Job Overview:

At ExploreLearning, we believe every student can succeed in math and science and we develop research-driven, engaging, and effective learning solutions to help make that possible. You will contribute directly to building the evidence base behind ExploreLearning’s innovative products, supporting educators, school leaders, and decision-makers with trusted research insights.

We are seeking a Research Associate to join our growing team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Manager, Efficacy & Insights Research to execute day-to-day research activities, contribute to impactful studies, and ensure that research findings are accessible, actionable, and aligned with educational best practices and standards.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a proven background in education research, data analysis, and communication who is passionate about math and science learning and who is eager to grow in an applied, mission-driven research environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Execute quantitative and qualitative research studies that demonstrate the efficacy of ExploreLearning products.

  • Prepare research reports, slide decks, executive summaries, and customer-facing communications in collaboration with marketing and sales enablement teams.

  • Analyze large educational datasets using preferred statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, Python).

  • Support conference submissions and presentations to share efficacy research findings with broader audiences.

  • Manage internal resources for research, including project tracking and research asset databases.

  • Support the management and growth of ExploreLearning’s teacher research partnerships (our “Collab Crew”), including maintaining participant databases, coordinating with product teams to recruit for research studies, and assisting with ongoing communications such as surveys, newsletters, and email updates.

  • Conduct classroom observations, teacher interviews, and/or survey analyses to enhance understanding of product usage and instructional impact.

  • Stay up-to-date on math and science teaching standards (e.g., NGSS, Common Core) and best practices to inform research strategy and study designs.

Job Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Learning Sciences, STEM Education, Statistics, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and research experience.

  • Proven knowledge of research methodology, program evaluation, and data analysis (quantitative and qualitative).

  • Experience with statistical analysis tools (SPSS or R preferred)

  • Hands-on experience managing and analyzing real-world education data.

  • Skilled in writing research reports and creating effective presentations for internal and external audiences.

  • Familiarity with math and science education standards and instructional best practices.

  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Experience working with educators or in education technology is a plus.

  • Passion for using research to make a positive difference for teachers and students.
