Job Description:


This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, coding solutions, unit testing, and ensuring the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust, and well-tested interfaces. Job expectations include an awareness of development and testing practices in the industry.

Position Summary:

The DCRS ACDE team has embarked on the exploring and eventually implementing Gen AI Solution to provide automation and efficiency for use cases which were not automatable earlier. In order to effectively grow and sustain this capability within DCRS, we need an Employee, who has the niche skill set of AI, NLP and Machine Learning along with the aptitude and attitude to apply it to business problems.

We’re looking for a Data Scientist who can be responsible for designing, building and maintaining document capture applications. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in software engineering with experience in building Machine Learning & NLP Models and good familiarity with Gen AI Models.

Mandatory In Office Policy - Three (3) Days a week

Responsibilities:

  • Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
  • Utilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements
  • Performs Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) activities
  • Contributes to story refinement and definition of requirements
  • Participates in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle
  • Contributes to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyze test reports, identify any test issues/errors, and triage the underlying cause
  • Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience as Data Scientist or related roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related technical field
  • Deep understanding and some exposure to new Gen AI Open-source Models
  • At least 2-3+ years programming experience in software development and Agile process
  • At least 2-3+ years Python (or equivalent) programming experience to work with ML/NLP models.
  • Experience in setting up supervised & unsupervised learning ML/NLP models including data cleaning, data analytics, feature creation, model selection & ensemble methods, performance metrics & visualization
  • Experience in ML/NLP development pipelines of large data sets, both structured & unstructured
  • At least 2 years’ experience in designing and developing enterprise-scale ML/NLP solutions in one or more of: Named Entity Recognition, Document Classification, Document Summarization, Topic Modelling, Dialog Systems, Sentiment Analysis, OCR text processing
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience working with OCR products
  • Experience in working with Llamm 3.3+ Gen AI Model in the OpenShift Container Environment to extract calibrated data from documents and verify the information in the documents

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science/Data Science, or a related technical field
