Business Excellence Manager

The Business Excellence Manager plays a strategic role in driving standardization, continuous improvement and operational excellence across an organization. Their main goal is to enhance business performance by standardizing & optimizing processes, increasing efficiency, and fostering a culture of quality and innovation.

Job Description:

Key Responsabilities

• Identify, scope, and define high-impact improvement opportunities across business processes.
• Diagnose root cause problems for inefficiencies and bottlenecks across the company applying advanced statistical analysis (e.g. Minitab, Python for statistics, others) and problem-solving techniques.
• Data-Driven Improvement & Digital Integration: Use data analytics and analyze dashboards, business intelligence, to make evidence-based decisions. Utilize data analytics from digital systems to identify and quantify improvement opportunities.
• Coach and train in PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) and SDCA (Standardize- Do-Check-Act) cycle: Establish a continuous improvement process to achieve the targets established for the business outcomes.
• Ensure compliance, process harmonization & standardization (e.g. BPMN, VSM, standard work, SOPs development) and automation where applicable alongside with IT department. 
• Hands- on experience in technological implementations and strong knowledge in no/low code tools (e.g. power apps, power automate).
• Design and implement process improvements using methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Agile.
• Guide teams through organizational or technological transitions.
• Research industry trends and compare internal performance to competitors. In addition, implement best practices across departments or business units.
• Build internal capabilities to sustain excellence through coaching and workshops.
• Lead standardization of improvement initiatives to gain business agility and effectiveness.
• Develop and implement solutions that streamline processes and enhance their integration with existing and new digital solutions.
• Data driven and financial & business background to quantify initiative in financial and productivity terms. Hands-on experience in financial and business departments within the industry is a plus.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields, with a specialization in Business Intelligence and Lean Six Sigma.
• Strong knowledge of financial analysis (e.g., IRR, NPV, Payback) and business case development.
• Problem Solving & Analytical Thinking: Exceptional ability to analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and develop effective, data-driven solutions. Certified Lean Leader and LSS Black Belt with expertise in systems thinking.
• Strong data analysis and interpretation skills, with experience leveraging data from digital systems. Proficient in databases and BI tools (e.g., Advanced Excel, Power BI).
• Knowledge of process mapping, BPMN, value stream mapping, and lean principles.
• Familiarity with digital technologies and their application in process optimization.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Planner, Lists, etc.), Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot, and BPMN software. Desirable expertise in Ms Project Desktop.
• Demonstrated ability to implement strategic planning processes and project management.
• Strong focus on achieving measurable outcomes and delivering tangible improvements.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and drive change without direct authority.
• Desirable experience in the industry, with hands-on expertise in financial and commercial areas. Business-driven focus.
• Languages: Fluent in Spanish and English, both verbal and written.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
