Working as an individual contributor under the Continuous Improvement Manager, the Operations Analyst will deliver value to Kings Hawaiian by providing accessible, accurate, and timely performance data and reporting to Operations using tools like Power BI, SQL and Python. The Operations Analyst will work collaboratively with the Continuous Improvement, Production and Data teams to garner insights, identify and scope improvement opportunities, and provide analytical support during opportunity realization. They will also drive the design, improvement, execution, and automation of dashboards and reporting tools with the Operations teams as well as provide guidance and support in the pursuit of self-service tool development. Employees in this position may interact with their leader several times a week to receive guidance and feedback. Some non-routine activities may require their leader’s advance approval, but routine decisions within the general scope of the role may be made independently.


 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Performance Measurement & Reporting

  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of key operational performance metrics.
  • Maintain data integrity by collaborating with Data teams to improve data collection, cleanliness, and governance.
  • Interpret operational data with a deep understanding of its real-world implications.
  • Serve as a key resource for data analytics needs across Continuous Improvement, Operations Excellence, and Production teams.

Performance Analysis & Opportunity Identification

  • Analyze operational data to identify, quantify, and prioritize performance improvement opportunities.
  • Partner with stakeholders to validate findings and contextualize insights.
  • Provide analytical support for the execution and tracking of improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in the development of capital project business cases and value realization tracking, continuously refining valuation methodologies.

Tool Ownership & Support

  • Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for frontline performance tracking tools (e.g., RedZone, SAP Digital Manufacturing).
  • Lead the design, enhancement, and automation of dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Support the development of self-service analytics capabilities across Operations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Communicate insights and recommendations effectively across all levels of the organization—from frontline teams to senior leadership.
  • Provide ad hoc analytical support for strategic initiatives within the Continuous Improvement and Operations Excellence functions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, aligned with the scope and intent of the role.

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Engineering, Industrial Operations, or a related field; or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in data analysis, continuous improvement, or a related operational role.
  • Highly Proficient in Data Analysis including significant experience and comfort with Python and SQL or other related data analysis skills
  • Proficient in Data Visualization tools, including Tableau and Power BI
  • Highly Proficient in the Microsoft Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and others

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES, KNOWLEDGE)

  • Understanding of traditional manufacturing metrics preferred (OEE, yield, productivity, etc.)
  • Clear communicator, able to speak to all levels of the organization
  • Expert attention to detail and natural ownership of work
  • Highly curious and natural drive to seek understanding
  • Self starter that can work independently, but also able to work collaboratively with various stakeholders
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
