Power BI and Data Engineer - Express Scripts Canada

The Power BI Developer & Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs, creating data models, and developing insightful and interactive reports and dashboards.

Work Location: Mississauga, Head Office

Work Environment: Hybrid, 2 days/week On-site

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, publish, and schedule Power BI reports and dashboards to meet business requirements.

• Collaborate with business users to gather and analyze data requirements.

• Create data models and data transformations using Power BI tools.

• Ensure data accuracy and integrity in reports and dashboards.

• Optimize Power BI dashboards with a focus on usability and performance.

• Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI.

• Stay updated with the latest features and updates in Power BI.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or similar role.

• Strong proficiency in Power BI, including DAX and Power Query.

• Experience with SQL and relational databases.

• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with other BI tools such as Tableau or QlikView.

• Knowledge of programming languages like Python or R.

• Experience with cloud platforms like Azure.
