Job Description:

Job Title: Weight data: Verification and Validation

Introduction

The input data for Mass Properties which are populated in the PDM tools comes from different sources like the design teams, suppliers, weight engineers. Identifying erroneous or inconsistent data (if any) would simplify the process and ensure data quality

About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support our efforts in improving the quality of weight-related data. You will help identify potentially incorrect weight information in our systems by applying business rules, statistical methods, and machine learning techniques. Available for 6 months for this role,

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze equipment-related data to detect anomalies in weight information.

  • Apply and refine business rules to validate data consistency across different sources.

  • Use statistical analysis and machine learning models to identify incorrect entries.

  • Coming up with basic sanity checks and test cases to validate the data with the ball park numbers

  • Classify the data and finding outliers/anomalies and reason out

  • Focus on equipment parameters such as category, size, power consumption, and data cable quantity.

  • General trend in the history of data should be reduction in weight, this can help to identify the deflections

  • Collaborate with engineering and data teams to understand context and improve rule accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Data Science, Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical or Civil) , Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Knowledge of data analysis, statistics, and machine learning.

  • Experience with Python.

  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Passion towards aviation field
