Your New Role…

CNN is seeking a Manager of Marketing Analytics who will be instrumental in CNN’s efforts to expand its digital footprint. This individual should be self-motivated, work well independently and as part of a team, and be passionate about what they do. The Manager will be a core member of the data analytics team and report to the Director of Growth Analytics.
Your Role Accountabilities...
The Manager of Marketing Analytics will
Partner closely with growth marketing to maximize the impact of paid and organic campaigns around acquisition and retention our new subscription and vertical products.
Lead analytics for a newly emerging portfolio of digital lifestyle products built for CNN customers.
Create forecasts and targets for marketing initiatives and new lines of business in collaboration with partners and executives to determine what success looks like.
Manage a small team of analysts to partner with cross-functionally across Growth, Product, Strategy, and other teams.
Proactively develop the analytics roadmap for both new products and marketing initiatives.
Partner with other analytics teams to provide a holistic view of CNN for leadership.
Qualifications & Experience...
5+ years in analytics space
Experience mentoring or managing more junior team members.
Experience in marketing analytics, particularly campaign analysis.
Strong working knowledge of digital and product analytics: funnels, cohorts, AB testing, OKR development and tracking.
Demonstrated experience partnering directly with cross-functional leaders, particularly in product, growth, or start-up contexts.
Strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver complex messages to diverse audiences.
Strong track record of proactively identifying and formalizing high impact AB tests with partners.
Expertise in using SQL to explore and analyze large data sets.
Experience with BI tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker, PowerBI, etc.).

Ability to attract, retain, and develop data talent through caring leadership and an inclusive mindset
Collaborative approach to partnership
Comfortable communicating with a diverse set of backgrounds, seniority levels, and knowledge sets, particularly in translating complex data concepts to strategic recommendations
Logical mindset capable of making appropriate trade-offs between speed and analytical depth without sacrificing quality
A self-starter who is passionate about getting data, using data, making sense of data, and helping others benefit from making analytics driven decisions
Nice-to-Haves
BA/BS degree or higher in Math, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Operations Research, Computer Science, Engineering, or other related quantitative field
Experience working in the analytics and insights space in a start-up environment.
Experience assessing marketing impact holistically through MMM or other methods.
Experience with digital news or relevant digital analytics experience plus strong interest in news.
Experience building and leading a small team of analysts.
Experience with data science programming languages like Python and R.

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $91,140.00 - $169,260.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
