Develop, deliver, and manage the lifecycle of new and existing software applications and systems that reach teachers, students, and parents across the world. Manage the full software development life cycle including building, testing and deploying enhancements to existing software and infrastructure. Participate in the Agile development process as part of a dynamic project team working closely with domain teams on a variety of new and existing projects. Hybrid role with work from home permitted four days a week within a reasonable commuting distance of the New York, New York Office.

SALARY: $111,966 to $112,860 per year

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field of study and three (3) years of experience as a Data Engineer, Business Intelligence Analyst, Data Analyst, Intelligence Analyst or related role where experience was gained. Employer will also accept a Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field of study and one (1) year of experience as a Data Engineer, Business Intelligence Analyst, Data Analyst, Intelligence Analyst or related role where experience was gained. Also requires [1] year of experience in the following:
• Agile development and methodology and industry standard software development lifecycle;
• Data structures and algorithms;
• programming languages like Java, JavaScript, Python, C++; and
• Software development and testing tools;
• Using SQL for data wrangling, extraction and standardizing;
• Using Kafka and Glue to ingest data from Data Lake into Redshift and Aurora; and
• Supporting the daily production runs for ingestion from S3, Kafka and direct API calls.
