We are looking for a Data Engineer AI to join us as we build cutting-edge technology solutions! This is your opportunity to be part of a team that is committed to delivering best-in-class service to our customers.
In this role:
You will be a key member of the data and analytics team supporting one of the most beloved and globally successful games. This role gives you the opportunity to help shape the future of a massively scaled game title by developing robust analytics environments and scalable data pipelines that enable deep insights and informed decision-making. You’ll partner closely with data scientists and stakeholders to transform raw data into actionable intelligence while ensuring high data quality and usability.
As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you will spend the majority of your time coding, designing, and refining data models and pipelines. You’ll be instrumental in supporting analytic workflows, working with big data technologies in a cloud-first environment, and playing a direct role in empowering business and product teams through high-quality data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, optimize, and maintain scalable big data pipelines and data models used for analytics and reporting.
- Collaborate closely with data scientists and business stakeholders to understand their analytical needs and translate them into effective data solutions.
- Transform raw data into structured models that are highly usable and well-documented.
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and quality across all analytical systems.
- Develop clean, efficient, and "pythonic" code to support ETL and data engineering workflows.
- Participate in peer code reviews and maintain high engineering standards.
- Continuously enhance the team’s data engineering frameworks and contribute to the development of data infrastructure.
- Stay current with trends in data engineering, analytics, and AI to bring innovative solutions to the team.
Basic Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering roles.
- Strong proficiency in Python (3–5 years), with demonstrated ability to write production-level, reusable code.
- Solid experience in SQL (2+ years) for data querying and transformation.
- Proven track record in building and managing big data pipelines (5+ years).
- Experience in developing scalable data models for analytics (3–5 years).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) – minimum 3 years
- Prior experience with Databricks and distributed data processing frameworks.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to provide concrete examples of data engineering work impacting business outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with the gaming industry or passion for gaming.
- Experience supporting AI or ML projects through engineered data pipelines.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, analysts, and engineers.
- Strong communication skills and a user-centered mindset, particularly when developing analytics environments for internal stakeholders.
Salary Range
Pay ranges vary based on multiple factors including, without limitation, skill sets, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographical market. The pay range for this position reflects geographic based ranges for Washington state: $100,000 - 120,000USD/annually. The salary/wage and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
