This challenge awaits you:

Thermal management in modern vehicles is becoming increasingly complex. Due to the large number of drive variants - from combustion engines to hybrids and electric drives - individual settings are required. In our team, we maintain an overview and are constantly looking for innovative development tools. This is where your thesis comes in. You will further develop a tool for the automated creation of various characteristic curves and maps based on extensive data. Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) are the key technologies for processing these data volumes.

Your Tasks:

  • Du arbeitest in der bestehenden Dokumentation ein und recherchierst den aktuellen Stand der Technik.
  • Du überprüfst das bestehende KI-Modell zur Umsetzung einer automatisierten Applikation.
  • Du erarbeitest weitere Vorschläge zur Umsetzung mittels weiterer KI-Modelle. 
  • Du überprüfst und adaptierst die bestehende Kostenfunktion zur Bewertung des Rewards.
  • Du optimierst das Modell basierend auf der konzipierten Kostenfunktion.
  • Du entwickelst das Tool weiter, sodass am Ende ein Datensatz exportiert werden kann.

Necessary Skills:

  • Advanced ongoing studies in the fields of computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or a comparable course of study
  • Experience in model-based modeling with Matlab/Simulink
  • Good knowledge of AI methods and programming
  • Independent and creative work
  • Good knowledge of German (at least B1 level) and very good knowledge of English (at least C1 level)

Desired Skills:

  • High level of teamwork
  • Knowledge of MatLab Simulink and Deep Learning Toolbox
  • Knowledge of the use of Python AI libraries, e.g. Kereas, Scikit-learn or PyTorch
  • Knowledge of the structure of a vehicle thermal management system

 

Remuneration is based on our collective wage and salary agreement. The internship/thesis will be remunerated with a monthly salary of 979,- EUR
