Job Description

About the Job/What will you do?

As a Senior Databricks Solutions Consultant, you will work closely with clients to deliver high-impact data engineering solutions on the Databricks platform. In this hands-on role, you will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of data platforms while collaborating with more senior architects and technical leads. You will support client success by applying best practices in data engineering and by helping teams adopt Databricks effectively. This is a remote role, with occasional travel or on-site presence to be agreed upon in advance.

 

Main Tasks

• Work with clients on the development and optimization of scalable data pipelines using Databricks and Apache Spark.
• Support the design and implementation of data lakehouse architectures
• Assist in the integration of data engineering solutions with existing cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Participate in client workshops, technical discovery sessions, and knowledge-sharing activities.
• Troubleshoot performance and reliability issues in data pipelines and contribute to their resolution.
• Help deliver technical enablement such as user training sessions, documentation, or internal demos.

Qualifications

Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering roles.
• Strong working knowledge of Databricks, with at least 2-3 successfully delivered projects.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for querying, transforming, and analyzing large datasets.
• Experience with developing and optimizing Apache Spark in real-world applications.
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java for data pipeline development.
• In-depth experience with at least one cloud environment such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with data workflow orchestration, testing, and version control tools (e.g., Airflow, Git).
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, learning-oriented mindset.
• Fluency in English (both spoken and written) at a strong, professional level.

Nice to have: 

• Completed the following certifications and training:
  • Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional
  • Apache Spark Programming with Databricks
• Experience working in consulting or customer-facing roles.
• Exposure to data science or ML workflows on Databricks, including MLFlow.
• Familiarity with BI tools and SQL-based data exploration.
