Job Summary

The Manager, Reporting / Analytics / AI Applications is responsible for leading the strategy, development, and delivery of enterprise reporting, analytics, and AI capabilities across platforms such as SAP SAC, Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric. This role is accountable for building and sustaining a high-performing team that delivers accurate, scalable, and insight-driven solutions to support business decision-making. The manager owns the end-to-end lifecycle of BI and AI applications—from data integration and modeling to visualization and automation—and ensures alignment with organizational goals, data governance standards, and evolving technology trends.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with ABAP, enabling them to partner effectively with SAP technical teams for custom data extraction, enhancement of CDS views, and optimization of backend logic supporting analytics use cases. The manager is also responsible for driving AI adoption by operationalizing machine learning, natural language processing, and predictive analytics to deliver measurable business value.

On-Site Expectations

  • 100% on-site position.
  • 1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategy, roadmap, and delivery of enterprise reporting, analytics, and AI-driven applications.
  • Manage and mentor a team of developers and data scientists/analysts, fostering innovation in analytics and artificial intelligence.
  • Build and maintain advanced dashboards, KPIs, and predictive reports using SAP SAC, Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Develop a strategy and execute on delivery of automation opportunities within the business.
  • Leverage AI/ML frameworks to enable forecasting, anomaly detection, and intelligent recommendations across business functions.
  • Integrate Azure ML, Fabric Notebooks, and Python-based models into enterprise reporting workflows for enhanced automation and insights.
  • Collaborate with business units to identify AI use cases, define success metrics, and implement solutions that deliver measurable impact.
  • Collaborate with SAP teams and leverage ABAP for custom data extractions, logic enhancements, and integration with analytics platforms.
  • Ensure scalable and secure data integration from SAP S/4HANA, CDS views, SAP BW, and other sources.
  • Establish governance, performance tuning, and DevOps practices across all reporting and AI tools.
  • Industry experience in pharmaceuticals, life sciences, or manufacturing.
  • Utilize Agile project management standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in business intelligence and analytics, with 3+ years in a managerial or team leadership role.
  • Industry experience in pharmaceuticals, life sciences, or manufacturing preferred. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Agile project management certification (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master) is a plus.
  • Strong experience in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Strong Experience in Python, SQL, and DAX, with hands-on experience building and deploying AI/ML models.
  • Proven experience with Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Lakehouse, and Azure ML.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional analytics and AI projects from concept to deployment.
  • Proven experience with deploying AI solutions such as demand forecasting, customer segmentation, or intelligent alerting within enterprise environments.
  • Strong knowledge of NLP, generative AI, or LLMs (Large Language Models) in reporting or knowledge management contexts.
  • Experience with automated insights, explainable AI, or AI-driven visual analytics.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and project management skills.
  • Good business acumen.
  • Strong understanding of company SOPs, and regulatory guidance documents.
  • Strong knowledge of safety procedures and quality compliance for assigned area.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skill, with the ability to think strategically.
  • Strong attention to detail as well as time and resource management.
  • Good presentation skills

Travel Expectations

  • Up to 20% travel required excluding training which will require travel.

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet with periods of higher noise elevations when present in warehouse or manufacturing areas. The employee may be required to gain access to manufacturing personnel via general manufacturing areas only for work discussions or follow-up or be required to tour clients through the various facilities. The employee is required to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment to perform the job duties. Such personal protective equipment may include, but not limited to safety eyewear, various types of respirators/breathing apparatus, lab coats, full protective body coverings, various types of gloves, etc.
