Position Overview:


Within QA COE, Desktop Testing Services (DTS) program provides innovative testing solutions and services for desktop software, tools and utilities installed over various platforms, hardware, and networks to ensure stable and reliable desktop and infrastructure environment for Wealth Management users.

This program works on various projects from - building innovative cutting edge web portals to cater to internal stakeholders for the Lab work - to building/enhancing common testing and automation frameworks - for desktops, virtual machines, laptops, Chromebook, tablets, Mac across different networks - scope of which includes but is not limited to Operating System upgrades, Infrastructure upgrades, 3rd Party Software patches, Morgan Stanley apps, Desktop software and utilities, GPO and appsense changes etc.

As an Fullstack Developer working in DTS, you'll have a chance to help in designing & developing innovative lab solutions, automating workflows and processes, designing strategy for hardware and software certifications and influencing entire WTS operations. Here, you will also work closely with Enterprise Technology and Services stakeholders to enable adoption of best practices and strategies through Shift Left and Advocacy approaches.


Responsibilities


* Review requirement specifications, identify gaps, and determine implications.

* Develop frontend designs and write reusable efficient code.

* Develop backend schema and designs and create applicable services and databases.

* Create unit tests for both frontend and backend.

* Design and develop analytical reports for consumption using Excel, Tableau etc.

* Design and develop lab operations management modules.

* Create pipelines for the continuous integration and deployment.

* Perform DevOps functions over private cloud.

* Create work reports and participate in demos to stakeholders.

* Troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining, and improving existing applications and code.

* Integrate software components and third-party tools and utilities.

* Design and develop innovative testing tools and utilities.

* Conduct R&D on new tools/technologies, assessment on their fitment and provide recommendations.

* Collaborate with cross-divisional stakeholders and provide quality deliverables.

* Create technical documentation for reference and reporting.

* Perform periodic review of artifacts - reports, docs, scenarios, automation scripts.

* Work closely and communicate progress to the leadership on a regular basis Qualifications


* Hands on experience on designing light weight webpages using ReactJS.

* High level proficiency on coding languages such as Python.

* Experience in designing and developing database schema and scripts using enterprise DB tools such as SQL Server, Postgres etc.

* Experience in designing and developing backend services (REST APIs).

* Experience in writing unit tests using PyTest, JEST etc.

* Experience of working in fast paced agile environment with distributed teams across geographies and timezones.

* Knowledge of microservices and service-oriented architecture tools such as Kafka, Azure Service Bus etc.

* Knowledge of observability solutions such as Splunk, Grafana, Loki etc.

* Knowledge of caching and session management and the related tools such as Redis.

* Knowledge of Machine Learning and various Python libraries such as Pandas, PyTorch, NumPy, TensorFlow etc.

* Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills

* Excellent management, communication (written and oral), presentation and interpersonal skills.
