We are looking for a Data Management in Okinawa, Japan.  

 

Responsibilities


Data Management Support:

  • Gather and maintain documents and records of data, documents, briefings, programming documents and business performance metrics for programming facility projects for a large military installation.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with each PMO’s senior staff, schedulers, and CAD 3D / GIS team members for Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Navisworks, Oracle and Microsoft Project; develop and maintain familiarity with methods for connecting to and importing data from those applications and associated databases.
  • Identify which current paper-based documents and processes used by MCIPAC DPRI are good candidates for conversion to electronic format; provide an analysis and propose recommendations to implement plans for conversion of those documents and processes from paper format to electronic format.
  • In coordination with the Knowledge Manager, integrate SharePoint sites, Access databases, and Geospatial Information System currently in use by MCIPAC DPRI.  Incorporate or import data from other enterprise databases or data formats used by MCIPAC DPRI such as AutoCAD, Oracle, Microsoft Project, iNFADS, and Total Force Structure Management System; automate such imports, exports, and batch transfers where appropriate.
  • Develop and recommend solutions that are compliant with DOD, Navy, and USMC information security policies as currently found in the Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN), which imposes significant constraints on levels of access and approved software applications.
  • Develop and update documentation that describes MCIPAC DPRI SharePoint, GIS, and database system workflows, entity-relationship diagram, architecture, schema, and file storage.  Fully document all implementations and programming from both an administrator and a user perspective.
  • Use Microsoft Access to design, develop, implement, maintain, and update multi-user Access databases that are stored and accessed within MCEN in support of PMO's.
  • Consult with each PMO’s staff to identify the need for new Access databases or changes to existing Access databases; maintain a log of database creations and modification requests submitted by PMO staff and acts on requests that are approved and prioritize based on the order of priority indicated by the PMO Program Manager.
  • Design, develop, maintain, and update Access database schema and structure; perform batch transfers (import and export) of data when necessary for database transfers into an Access database.
  • Use information management tools to organize and store program related information.
  • As required, retrieve archived information to support program or project-related reports and studies.
Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 5-10 years of experience
  • Active Secret Clearance-Required

Salary Description $95,000 - $105,000
