Generative AI/ML Architect w/Google AI - Remote

 

We are an IT Management Consulting firm specializing in digital transformation and AI-driven innovation. We are seeking a highly skilled Gen AI Technical Architect with deep expertise in Google Cloud AI/Vertex AI to lead the design and deployment of cutting-edge AI solutions for our enterprise clients.   Headquarters are in St Louis, but this position can be anywhere nationally and work mostly REMOTE.

As a Gen AI Architect, you will provide best-fit architectural solutions for one or more projects; you will assist in defining scope and sizing of work; and anchor Proof of Concept developments. You will provide solution architecture for the business problem, platform integration with third party services, designing and developing complex features for clients' business needs.

Job Overview:

The role of this Senior Solutions Architect is for individuals passionate about identifying and delivering the right Business solution for each client using Gen AI, AI/ML and NLP.   Will are keen to understand our customer needs, processes and pain points to determine the success factors and evaluation criteria that will be needed to measure the effectiveness of a GenAI, ML and NLP model.

The Architect will be involved in the strategic planning of an engagement or helping the client make decisions about their future Gen AI, AI/ML roadmap and vision. Once the project has begun, will be responsible for the execution of our established methodology, work with customer and/or the teams data engineer to identify data ingestion and transformation needs, exploration of the data and reporting findings, modeling and evaluation of training iterations. It is a key part of the role to be able to explain in non-technical terms the chosen modeling approach and findings from data exploration or training results.

 

• Architect and implement scalable Gen AI solutions using Google Cloud (Vertex AI, PaLM, Gemini, etc.)
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders
• Evaluate and integrate LLMs and foundation models into enterprise workflows
• Use your ML, Gen AI, AI expertise to research and recommend the best approaches to provide technology and business solutions by utilizing statistical/ mathematical methods (classification, time-series analysis, regression, statistical inference, …) or deep learning techniques.
• Perform exploratory data analyses, generate and test working hypotheses, prepare and analyze historical data, and identify patterns.
• Work directly with clients and stakeholders to present and explain the key techniques and major results generated using non-technical language; understand client feedback and be able to accommodate back into the model through programming or additional feature engineering.
• Come up with innovative, repeatable, business use cases for real world recommendation techniques, and quickly develop prototypes to test these use cases.
• Utilize a diverse array of technologies, tools and cloud services as needed, to deliver insights, such as DataBricks, AWS and GCP.
• Translate customer pain points, needs and requirements into creative ML solutions.
• Help define automated Gen AI, AI/ML pipeline for both training and runtime predictions.
• Assist in the development of guidelines, best practices and knowledge sharing documentation.
• Ability to deliver on schedule and communicate effectively to ensure alignment between operations and technology.
• Ability to educate customer on project goals and solution and set realistic expectations.

• Minimum 10+ years programming experience with holistic programming and technologies.
• 2+ years hands-on with Gen AI (LLMs, transformers, etc.)
• Deep experience with Google Cloud AI tools (Vertex AI, AutoML, BigQuery ML)
• Strong Python, TensorFlow, or JAX background
• At least 5 years of experience in technology consulting, enterprise and solutions architecture and architectural frameworks.
• Fluent and current on architecture trends with an eye on market/technical conditions and future direction.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of current AI/ML technologies & platforms and real-world applications of ML in the enterprise.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.

Preferred Skills and Education:

• Current and active AI/ML Certifications in majors cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM) a big plus.
• Experience working in a professional services company, consulting firm, or agency.

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $92,118 to $202,730. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential equity or variable bonus programs.
