As a member of a cross functional team developing data science solutions for Point Sales Pricing and Optimization, the Senior Data Scientist will collaborate with data engineers and other subject matter experts to deliver results which support directional action by business teams across the Loyalty & Partnership, Marketing, Revenue Management, Sales, Operations and Technology functions. The Senior Data Scientist may partner with other data scientists to establish best practices and thought leadership for a machine learning platform to serve all of IHG.
Your day to day
- Enhance Point sales pricing models to improve member point value and ancillary revenue.
- Refine and maintain RN propensity and P&C uplift models.
- Collaborate with the L&P team to track P&C revenue trends and identify growth opportunities.
- Work with P&T and L&P teams to scale RNIT and launch the RNAI program.
- Partner with Design of Experiments and L&P teams to conduct experiments on Points & Cash pricing, leading to an enhanced P&C pricing engine.
- Develop expertise in GCP and Oracle ecosystems to productionize RN and P&C pricing engines for better maintenance and scalability.
- Mentor Band 7 analysts to in Data Science best practices, ensuring model quality and scalability.
What we need from you
- Master's Degree or Ph.D. in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.
- Typically a minimum of 7+ years of progressive work related experience with demonstrated proficiency in advanced quantitative analysis.
- Excellent understanding of pricing analytics, optimization, machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as Price Elasticity, Optimization, Demand Forecast, XGBoost, Random Forest etc.
- Applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
- Experience with common data science toolkits in R and Python proficiency in query languages such as SQL.
- Experience with data visualization tools e.g. Tableau.
- Experience working with very large datasets, knowledge of distributed computing tools (Spark etc.) a plus.
- Strong structured coding skills
- Able to confidently utilize MS Word, MS Excel, MS SharePoint & MS Visio.
Location - Our hybrid work structure is an expectation of three (3) days a week in the ATLANTA office. This expectation may be adjusted to evolve with the changing needs of the business.
The salary for this role is $58,844 to $155,000. This role is also eligible for bonus pay. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401K and other benefits to employees.
