Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer, specializing in Business Activity Monitoring (BAM), Payments, Analytics, and Data Science. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement innovative solutions that provide real-time insights into business operations, optimize payment systems, and leverage data science techniques to drive analytics and decision-making. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and efficient software solutions that align with business goals.
Essential Responsibilities:
Responsible for designing, developing, testing, operating and maintaining products
Design and implement BAM solutions to monitor and analyze real-time business processes and transactions
Develop dashboards and alerts to provide actionable insights into operational performance and SLA compliance
Integrate BAM tools with payment systems and analytics platforms
Optimize payment workflows and ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO20022, NACHA etc.)
Build and deploy data pipelines to collect, process, and analyze real time data.
Apply machine learning and statistical models to uncover trends, anomalies, and predictive insights
Develop visualizations and reports to communicate findings to business leaders
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- Five to six years of relevant experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Experience with Java/Groovy, Apache Camel or other data sourcing frameworks
- Experience building visualizations and reports to communicate findings to business leaders
- Experience with real-time data processing frameworks (Kafka, MQ, APIs etc.)
- Experience designing and implementing BAM solutions to monitor and analyze real-time business processes and transactions
- Experience developing dashboards and alerts for operational performance and SLA compliance
- Strong experience with payment workflows and compliance standards (ISO20022, NACHA etc.)
- Strong experience with Machine learning and statistical models to uncover trends, anomalies, and predictive insights
- Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and predictive modeling techniques
- Understanding of security best practices for payment systems and data analytics
- Experience with Azure Cloud, Azure Site Recovery (ASR) and pipelines
Location Expectations
The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $119,765.00 - $140,900.00U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
