Join our Integrity Services (Fraud Services) team and help protect the ACC scheme through data-led initiatives to identify and prevent external fraud, waste, and abuse.

Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About the role

The Integrity Compliance (Fraud Analytics) team protects ACC’s sustainability of the scheme through preventing fraud and abuse by people who interact with ACC. The team is responsible for delivering data-led anomaly detection and monitoring tools, which enable ACC to be more effective in interventions to prevent fraud and abuse. 

The Senior Compliance Analyst provides technical leadership to the Integrity Compliance team along with mentoring and guidance to the team. The person in this role will:

  • lead and deliver end-to-end, exploring new ideas and innovations into production, where insights from the data are valued and used by customers
  • bring a collaborative, hands-on approach to leading work with stakeholders and proactively provide timely advice evidenced by data & analysis
  • turn complex problems or requirements into analytical solutions to provide the right interventions at the right time

Ko wai koe | About you

  • At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in fraud prevention and detection data & analysis, or similar discipline. 
  • Experienced in coaching and mentoring a team of analysts or data scientists, with a focus on storytelling, data visualisation and solution development. 
  • Proficient ability to code (e.g. R, SQL, Python etc), combine analytics, data science, research, feedback, and design to solve complex business problems effectively.
  • Proven record of delivering results and outcomes from leading multiple teams and stakeholders to deliver analytical tools and systems. 
  • Technical leadership in introducing new and innovative methods and tools from exploration to production environments: including advanced statistical techniques, use of AI ML, data engineering, and integration.
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing, negotiation and communication skills, and ability to confidently engage and influence senior decision makers.

The base salary range for this role is $101,287 - $131,077 with appointment in the range depending on skills and experience. ACC also offers 9% superannuation.
