Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. This role reports to the Director, Payment Operations and Fraud

 

As a Product Performance Analyst supporting our Fraud and Payments teams, you will help build our internal data tables for new and existing Payment Service Provider (PSP) integrations, provide insights into payments and fraud performance, and leverage data to guide our payment and fraud strategy.

  • Drive requirements for data events enabling accurate analysis of Fraud, Abuse, and Payment Operation events
  • Produce insights into payments and fraud topics leverage internal data warehouse datasets, third party data and external datasets
  • Provide visualizations of data insights using common tools such as Tableau / Looker
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Operations Analysts, and Engineering to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop reporting dashboards and visualizations that enable data-driven decision-making at all levels of the organization.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to senior management in areas of fraud, abuse and payments operations by interpreting and presenting data findings in a clear and actionable manner, providing insights that inform key business decisions.
  • Support the development of advanced analytics models and algorithms, leveraging statistical techniques and data visualization tools to make decisions based on data in the areas of payments and fraud.
  • Collaborate with analysts on the team and across departments to drive data-driven decision-making by effectively influencing stakeholders and fostering alignment, even without direct management responsibilities

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Statistics, or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in data engineering, data analysis, or a related role, with a focus on building scalable data infrastructure and delivering impactful data-driven solutions.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, alongside programming languages such as Python/R for complex querying, advanced analysis, and optimizing payments and fraud performance
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data modeling techniques.
  • Proficiency in working with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, BigQuery, PostgreSQL) and familiarity with cloud-based data platforms
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, data visualization tools such as Tableau
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve shared goals.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities, and deliver results within tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and data integrity in all deliverables.


Desired Qualifications:

  • International business experience in Europe, United States, or Africa
  • Track record of thinking outside the box to identify patterns across different information sources.
  • Media, entertainment and/or subscription services experience.
  • Understanding of Chargeback & Payment lifecycles
