We conduct monetary policy, work to maintain a strong financial system and issue the nation's currency.The Reserve Bank’s Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) is a centralised function that is responsible for providing effective governance over the Bank’s strategic investment portfolio and workload prioritisation at an enterprise level.
Our objectives are to strengthen project management practices, provide assurance and oversight across the Bank’s portfolio and guide improved project governance and delivery. We support the evaluation, prioritisation, and ongoing monitoring of the Bank’s project portfolio and effective workload prioritisation and resource management at an enterprise level. We also provide advice and support to the Investment Committee, Change Coordination Committee and other Governance forums.
In this position you will provide support for enterprise workload prioritisation and resource data management, modelling and analysis and ongoing monitoring of the Bank’s workload and resourcing profile including providing support for reporting to senior stakeholders and governance groups.
Key responsibilities include:
Work collaboratively across the organisation to develop, embed and maintain fit-for-purpose processes, systems and practices regarding data management, modelling and analysis to support enterprise workload prioritisation and resource management to achieve departmental or organisational strategies and benefits.
Provide expertise in Data Analytics tools (e.g. Power BI, PowerQuery, Cloud Analytics, Self-serve reporting, Advanced excel etc.).
Manage enterprise portfolio-level data and information including collection, analysis, storage and delivery to support enterprise workload prioritisation and resource management to high standards of accuracy, completeness and integrity.
Manage the collection of enterprise workload and resource data for projects and BAU initiatives and engage with stakeholders to ensure data collected conforms to agreed standards.
Maintain the data taxonomy for enterprise workload prioritisation and resource management.
Develop and maintain the software and interfaces that brings together data from multiple data sources for data analysis and visualisations.
Maintain the data processing rules, checks and validations to ensure data quality.
Support the running of the prioritisation model on a regular cadence.
Work within and with other departments to keep workload prioritisation and resource management data in sync.
Coach the team to uplift capability relating to tooling.
Support continuous improvements relating to enterprise workload prioritisation and resource management.
To be successful you should have:
Experience (3+ years) in a Data Analysis role with experience in designing analytical models to support decision-making.
Strong technical capabilities in Data Modelling and Data Analytics tools e.g. Power BI, Power Query, Data Cubes etc.
Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) and SQL skills; AI skills will be highly regarded.
Experience working as part of a portfolio management office or team within the Financial Services industry.
Strong interpersonal skills, a focus on outcomes and comfortable in exploratory work in which where are many unknowns.
Experience in prioritisation modelling and workload/ resource profiling including supply and demand analysis at an enterprise level.
Knowledge of Portfolio Management Methodologies, frameworks, techniques and tools particularly regarding planning, prioritisation and resource management.
Relevant Tertiary qualifications (e.g. Degree in IT, Business Intelligence, Data Science or related disciplines).
