Job Purpose

As a FullStack Developer, you’ll play a foundational role in building our partner’s first product: an online portal tailored to government needs that helps automate mission-critical processes. You will be involved in the design and development of end-to-end features, leveraging both backend and frontend technologies, and working closely with infrastructure components to ensure performance and scalability.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement secure login workflows for both vendors and government staff.
  • Build and maintain role-based access control and workflow automation features.
  • Create database structures and integrations to manage vendor data and document history.
  • Develop document upload systems that support validation and AI-powered classification.
  • Work within a Django + Vue architecture, keeping frontend and backend cleanly decoupled.
  • Optimize and maintain infrastructure using AWS services (CloudFront, S3, RDS/PostgreSQL, EC2) and integrate with Cloudflare for performance and security.
  • Evaluate and integrate third-party APIs (e.g., Twilio, Process Plan) or suggest custom-built alternatives.
  • Contribute to the setup and evolution of CI/CD pipelines, development tools, and testing strategies.
  • Write clean, maintainable code using Python (Django) and Vue.js, with Node.js used only for frontend build processes.
  • Apply best practices in AI-assisted code generation and RPA integration.
  • Collaborate closely with the founding team on technical decisions and roadmap planning.
  • Help lay the foundation for future machine learning integrations and product scalability.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer building secure, scalable web applications.
  • Strong proficiency in frontend development using modern JavaScript frameworks (preferably Vue.js; React experience is a plus if open to working with Vue).
  • Hands-on experience with Python and Django on the backend.
  • Familiarity with API development using FastAPI (Python) or Express (Node.js).
  • Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, especially AWS services like CloudFront, S3, RDS (PostgreSQL or similar), EC2, and ideally Cognito.
  • Comfortable working with Cloudflare for performance and security enhancements.
  • Experience with DevOps tools such as Git, Docker, and knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and testing strategies.
  • Experience working on enterprise software, vendor portals, or workflow-based systems.
  • Proactive, adaptable mindset with a continuous learning attitude.
  • Ability to thrive in environments where you build from scratch, contribute to architecture, and iterate fast.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written), with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly across teams.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Familiarity with tools like VS Code, Windsurf, or DataGrip.
  • Experience integrating third-party APIs such as Twilio or Process Plan.
  • Interest or prior experience in AI, RPA systems, and automation tools.
  • Thoughtful and collaborative approach when evaluating dev tools and project management platforms.
