The Company

PayPal has been revolutionizing commerce globally for more than 25 years. Creating innovative experiences that make moving money, selling, and shopping simple, personalized, and secure, PayPal empowers consumers and businesses in approximately 200 markets to join and thrive in the global economy.

We operate a global, two-sided network at scale that connects hundreds of millions of merchants and consumers. We help merchants and consumers connect, transact, and complete payments, whether they are online or in person. PayPal is more than a connection to third-party payment networks. We provide proprietary payment solutions accepted by merchants that enable the completion of payments on our platform on behalf of our customers.

We offer our customers the flexibility to use their accounts to purchase and receive payments for goods and services, as well as the ability to transfer and withdraw funds. We enable consumers to exchange funds more safely with merchants using a variety of funding sources, which may include a bank account, a PayPal or Venmo account balance, PayPal and Venmo branded credit products, a credit card, a debit card, certain cryptocurrencies, or other stored value products such as gift cards, and eligible credit card rewards.  Our PayPal, Venmo, and Xoom products also make it safer and simpler for friends and family to transfer funds to each other. We offer merchants an end-to-end payments solution that provides authorization and settlement capabilities, as well as instant access to funds and payouts. We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

Our beliefs are the foundation for how we conduct business every day.  We live each day guided by our core values of Inclusion, Innovation, Collaboration, and Wellness. Together, our values ensure that we work together as one global team with our customers at the center of everything we do – and they push us to ensure we take care of ourselves, each other, and our communities.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly technical and visionary Senior Lead Product Manager to join our Agentic AI team. This individual will help drive the strategy, roadmap, and execution of our next-generation AI agent platform, focusing on building, operationalizing, and applying a scalable platform designed for agent-based products. The role will encompass sub-agent orchestration, LLM integration, MCP tooling, and core infrastructure to apply and power agentic products across PayPal and our external partners.

You’ll be directly within the AI organization, reporting to the Head of Product for Agentic AI, working alongside world-class engineers and researchers, acting as a key conduit between our team and both external-facing agentic product initiatives — spanning external AI applications, merchants, as well as our internal PayPal and Venmo applications.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the product roadmap for the Agentic AI Platform, ensuring alignment with the centralized platform and its orchestration capabilities.

  • Collaborating closely with engineering and research leads on the design and implementation of multi-agent systems, including MCP and A2A protocol integration and agent simulation.

  • Engage with internal stakeholders across Consumer, SMB, and Large Enterprise business units to align platform capabilities with real-world agentic commerce and productivity use cases to ensure interoperability and compliance with agentic standards.

  • Develop functional applied agent prototypes and proof-of-concept initiatives in collaboration with external partners, focusing on tool orchestration and real-world agentic applications, as well as work with stakeholders to improve the performance of the agents.

  • Define and track success metrics that ensure reliability, performance, and impact of agent-driven workflows.

  • Identify opportunities for innovation and influence the broader agentic commerce and productivity roadmap across PayPal, driving advanced research and infrastructure enablement.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related technical field.

  • 10+ years of product management experience with at least 3 years in AI/ML product management.

  • Deep technical understanding of AI technologies, including LLMs, agentic architectures, and fine-tuning methods.

  • Proven experience in developing and managing scalable APIs or agent infrastructures that support operational efficiency and developer enablement.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience influencing cross-functional teams and conducting architectural consulting sessions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in a technical field such as Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Data Science.

  • Familiarity with agentic AI trends and third-party AI ecosystems

  • Experience working directly with enterprise merchants or B2B partners, engaging in protocol design and interoperability efforts.

  • Strong product intuition combined with a data-informed mindset.

  • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
