Job Description

Single point of accountability for building and embedding ISG’s Operational Intelligence Framework. This role is critical in enabling data-driven decision-making, enhancing execution discipline, and translating performance into strategic insight. The incumbent will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure that operational insights are aligned with business priorities, risk indicators are surfaced early, and performance reporting drives action.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the single point of accountability for building and institutionalizing ISG’s Operational Intelligence Framework.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify key operational metrics, define data requirements, and develop dashboards that enable insight-driven decisions.

  • Proactively monitor operational performance across IT domains and flag execution risks, delivery gaps, or anomalies.

  • Translate data into insights and narratives for senior leadership, highlighting trends, blockers, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Partner with Finance, Value Management, Service Management, and Portfolio Leads to ensure alignment of performance indicators with strategy execution and business outcomes.

  • Build automated mechanisms (e.g., alerts, trackers) to drive predictability, performance accountability, and benefits realization tracking.

  • Support governance forums by providing timely and actionable reporting and insights (e.g., CIO Delivery Reviews, ISG Mancom, Project Deep reporting).

Delivers

  • Regular ISG Operational Intelligence Report with insights on key KPIs (e.g., project health, finance, partner performance, execution velocity).

  • Real-time dashboards and monitoring tools across CIO priorities, strategy projects, and service metrics.

  • Insights presentations for governance forums (e.g., risk trending, partner contribution to value, execution friction points).

  • Predictive signals and early warning systems for delivery risk, cost overruns, and benefit leakage.

  • Contribution to ISG Benefits Realization Tracking framework in coordination with Finance and Value Management.

KPI

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Must Have

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Data Science, or a related field.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in operational intelligence, data analytics, or related fields within IT or business operations.

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and managing dashboards, performance metrics, or intelligence frameworks.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Value Management, Service Management, and Portfolio Management.

  • Experience with IT performance, value realization, and operational governance frameworks 

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of automation tools and mechanisms for reporting and tracking (e.g., Appsheet, Python, RPA solutions).

  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, google slides or similar platforms).

  • Advanced Google sheets/Excel skills and familiarity with SQL or other data query languages.

  • Experience in developing predictive analytics and early warning systems.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

  • Strategic thinking and the ability to prioritize multiple deliverables

  • Strong ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and narratives.

  • Expertise in identifying trends, risks, and anomalies from data sets.

Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Experience in benefits realization tracking and aligning metrics with strategic goals.

  • Proven track record of serving as a single point of accountability for strategic operational control frameworks 

  • Ability to influence and engage senior leadership through compelling insights and presentations.

  • Strong collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders across different domains.

Communication Skills:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for creating insights presentations, dashboards, and reports.

  • Adept at presenting complex data to non-technical audiences, including senior leadership

Nice to Have

  • Advanced degree or certification in data analytics, business intelligence, or project management.

  • Understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) tools and platforms.

  • Familiarity with governance structures and processes, including timely reporting for forums and leadership reviews.

  • Proactive mindset with a focus on predictability and performance accountability.
