Job Summary - We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Snowflake & StreamSets Platform Administrator to support and enhance our enterprise data engineering and analytics platforms. This role demands hands-on expertise in managing large-scale Snowflake data warehouses and StreamSets data pipelines, with strong troubleshooting, automation, and monitoring capabilities. The ideal candidate will ensure platform reliability, performance, security, and compliance while working closely with cross-functional teams including data engineers, DevOps, and support teams.
Key Responsibilities:
•    Platform Administration & Operations
o    Administer and support the Snowflake Data Cloud platform, including user roles, resource monitors, query performance tuning, warehouse management, and data governance policies.
o    Deploy, monitor, and maintain StreamSets pipelines in production environments ensuring high availability and performance.
o    Act as the primary point of contact for incident resolution, RCA documentation, and root cause prevention for platform-related issues.
o    Monitor system health and job performance using Grafana, CloudWatch, StreamSets dashboards, and Snowflake’s Query Profile.
o    Optimize compute and storage costs in Snowflake by identifying inefficiencies in data storage, processing patterns, and query design.
•    Security, Governance & Compliance
o    Ensure adherence to data security standards by managing Snowflake access controls, RBAC, and integration with IAM tools.
o    Manage data masking, row-level access policies, and external data sharing in Snowflake.
•    DevOps & Automation
o    Develop scripts using Python, Shell, or Terraform for automating platform maintenance and deployment tasks.
o    Collaborate with DevOps and Infrastructure teams to implement CI/CD pipelines for data pipeline deployments.
o    Manage Git repositories for pipeline version control and configuration management.
•    Integration & Tooling
o    Integrate Snowflake and StreamSets with upstream/downstream systems including AWS services (S3, EC2, Lambda), Denodo, Kafka, and BI tools.
o    Enable seamless data movement and transformation through connectors to REST APIs, JDBC/ODBC endpoints, and cloud-native sources.
o    Provide L2/L3 support for operational issues and participate in 24x7 on-call rotations.
o    Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives via Jira Kanban boards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
o    Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, IT, or related field (B.Tech. / MCA preferred).
o    3+ years of hands-on experience in Snowflake administration.
o    5+ years’ experience managing StreamSets pipelines in enterprise-grade environments.
o    Strong experience with AWS services, especially S3, IAM, Lambda, and EC2.
o    Working knowledge of ServiceNow, Jira, Git, Grafana, and Denodo.
o    Understanding of data modelling, ETL/ELT best practices, and modern data platform architectures.
o    Certification in Snowflake or AWS is highly desirable.
