We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join our growing team of analytics experts. The hire will be responsible for projects that support our commercial, sales, editorial and marketing teams with insights gained from analyzing company data. The ideal candidate is adept at using large data sets to find opportunities for process optimization and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action.

Your responsibilities will be: 

  • Identify business use cases that can be solved with AI.
  • Undertake pre-processing of structured and unstructured data.
  • Analyze data at different stages of the modelling pipeline.
  • Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns.
  • Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms.
  • Combine models through ensemble modelling.
  • Identify additional datasets or generate synthetic data.
  • Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges.
  • Seek feedback, share results through Data Visualizations.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams and business units.

Needs for the position: 

  • PhD or Masters Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or other quantitative sciences.
  • 3+ years of experience building productionised machine learning models at scale with a preference for MVP and iteration.
  • Experience working on Sales Forecasting and Price Optimization and NLP/GenAI.
  • Experience with tools like Airflow, Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Demonstrated computer programming ability including fluency in both Python and SQL.
  • Experience conducting research and analysis on large data sets and providing rigorous interpretations of the results.
  • The ability to model complex problems mathematically and/or computationally.
  • Proven ability to drive business results with their data-based insights
  • A solid understanding of key statistical concepts.
  • Knowledge of common Data Science toolkits (e.g. Pandas, Numpy, Scikit-Learn).
  • Fluent spoken and written English. Spanish (basic).
  • Experience with Power BI, Streamlit, Gradio and Dash is a plus.
  • Experience with OOP
  • Knowledge of deep learning frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch.).
  • Self-directed and comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams
  • Passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets
