Reports to: Manager, Data & Analytics
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Status: Permanent Full-Time
Closing Date: July 4, 2025

Position Summary

UHN Data & Analytics supports UHN’s growing demand for data and data-driven insights, and helps TeamUHN ensure the needs of the patients come first.  Our collective goal is to enable UHN in transformative, measurable and data-informed healthcare improvement.

Within UHN Data & Analytics, the Data Strategy, Governance & Analytics Team seeks to improve UHN’s understanding of its data as a competitive differentiator, and enable UHN to become a data-driven and insight-enabled learning health system that effectively manages and drives value from its data assets.

The Team is also responsible for establishing organizational data governance, advancing data literacy, and enabling UHN to develop advanced analytical capabilities that inform and support its strategic pursuits in care, discovery, and learning.

The Business Process & Data Analyst plays a critical role in implementing strategic initiatives and sustaining operational processes that unlock the value of UHN's data assets. 

Duties

  • Research and incorporate trends, best practices, and literature into impactful and innovative solutions
  • Plan and conduct requirements gathering, workflow/data mapping, and application testing
  • Support project scoping, scheduling, monitoring, risk assessment, and stakeholder engagement
  • Determine business insights through the collection, assessment, and analysis of complex organizational data
  • Proactively recommend options to address problems and opportunities on projects and the team
  • Produce high quality documentation and deliverables
  • Understand and align with organizational strategy and guidance
  • Learn new tools and techniques relevant to project and operational tasks, including project management, change management, business analysis, data analysis, data governance, and data literacy
  • Lead projects of low risk and small scope

Qualifications

  • An Undergraduate Degree in Health Informatics, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • 1-2 years of related industry experience in program management (planning, implementation, risk assessment, documentation, and benefits realization)
  • Excellent facilitation, inter-personal, and written/oral communications skills
  • Excellent analytical, prioritization, and organization skills
  • Ability to work independently on multiple ongoing priorities successfully in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Visio, Project, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and SharePoint)
