Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) currently has an exciting opportunity for a Data Analytics Lead to support our Enterprise Data Analytics (EDA) team within our Information Services department. This is a full-time permanent opportunity and will report to the Manager, Enterprise Data Analytics. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to foster lasting relationships with business partners, oversee vendor interactions, and assist the EDA team members. This opportunity directs the daily activities related to projects, enhancements, and incident resolution while maintaining stakeholder expectations, ensuring alignment with timelines, and task prioritization. The role involves working closely with various business units to grasp their reporting and analytical needs, providing guidance, and delivering solutions to enhance data-driven decision-making processes. Additionally, the successful candidate will promote the adoption of self-service tools through the management, development, and delivery of educational programs, enabling stakeholders to effectively utilize data analytics resources.

What You’ll be Doing:
Oversee and prioritize day-to-day tasks, including project deliverables, enhancements, incident resolution, and resource allocation
Conduct regular meetings to monitor progress, address blockers, and adjust priorities
Track project timelines, deliverables, risks, and quality using project management tools and report on progress
Ensure timely incident triage, resolution, and root cause analysis in coordination with IS and support teams
Lead discovery sessions with business units to identify reporting and analytical needs and define meaningful solutions and success metrics
Translate business requirements into BI/reporting specifications
Guide stakeholders on data visualization best-practices, metric definitions, dashboard standards, and tool usage
Provide guidance on tools like SAP BO, Power BI, and Python-based analytics
Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies to enhance data visualization, analytics, and user experience
Drive continuous improvement and scalability of the enterprise analytics platform
Assess training needs and design scalable learning paths, including workshops, office hours, and user enablement initiatives
Develop training materials, user guides, and tutorials for tools such as SAP BO, Power BI, and low-code/no-code solutions
Monitor analytics tool usage to identify adoption gaps and deliver targeted follow-up training
Foster self-service analytics adoption through hands-on enablement strategies
Liaise with external vendors to ensure service delivery, resolve escalations, and participate in evaluations and reviews
Stay current with analytics trends through professional networking and peer engagement
Collaborate with Enterprise Data Management (EDM) and business leaders to maintain data governance compliance and define analytical models
Participate in data stewardship efforts to ensure accuracy, quality, and privacy compliance
Act as a liaison between IS teams, EDM, and business units to ensure smooth implementation of analytics initiatives
Ensure security and privacy compliance in all analytics and reporting projects
Promote cross-functional collaboration to enhance data sharing and maximize analytic value
Provide mentorship and career development for team members
Review and streamline existing processes, identifying opportunities for automation and innovation
What You’ll Bring:
Post-secondary education within a Data/Information Technology related discipline, or post-secondary education with equivalent work experience
5+ years’ experience with SAP BI Business Objects (Web Intelligence & Analysis for Office)
3+ years’ experience with data management toolsets (Datasphere, BW Hana, SQL Server)
Initiative, good judgment, and effective decision-making
Relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills
Experience in leading discussions to drive positive results
Experience leading teams of varying skillsets
Experience with operational planning and execution; strong process improvement orientation
5+ years’ experience designing BI solutions
5+ years’ experience with user requirements analysis
5+ years managing projects/initiatives
Strong knowledge of Data Governance and Compliance practices
Experience with cloud based BI solutions
Experience with Change Management processes
Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
Experience with Python for data analytics
Strong background in business analytics and analytical modelling
Strong knowledge of ITIL
