About the Role

The Corporate Solutions Advanced Data Science team is seeking a highly experienced Senior AI Engineer to drive the development of our next-generation data solutions.

In this pivotal role, you'll apply sophisticated methods to transform raw, complex data into robust, scalable AI-powered data systems. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing advanced algorithms, conducting in-depth statistical and machine learning analysis, and ensuring these systems are meticulously aligned with our strategic business objectives for maximum efficiency and impact. To excel, you'll need exceptional analytical capabilities, a proven ability to integrate diverse data sources, mastery of multiple programming languages, and a deep understanding of cutting-edge machine learning methodologies.

In this role, you will have following fundamental responsibilities:

• Work alongside a technically sophisticated team of data scientists and data engineers located within and outside Bangalore.
• Translate business needs and requirements into specific quantitative questions, which can be answered with available data using sound methodologies
• Identify and highlight gaps in existing datasets to enhance the data quality in the upstream systems.
• Create business value by leading end-to-end data initiatives including but not limited to data ingestion, transformation, solution development, deploying advanced AI/ML models and making process improvement recommendation
• Build up and maintain AI engineering and data science best practices, and model governance framework. Inspiring others to raise minimum standards to a new level.
• Design and develop frameworks for automated testing of data pipelines and machine learning artifacts.
• Use statistical, algorithmic, data mining, and visualization techniques to model complex problems, find opportunities, discover solutions, and deliver actionable business insights.
• Work with Analytics and Business Experts to deploy the models into production by building APIs or leveraging our ETL pipelines
• Connect with business stakeholders to find process improvement opportunities and suggest suitable solutions.

• Own your projects and use this autonomy to find creative and innovative ways of solving problems and delivering solutions.

• You are expected to use a wide variety of open-source technologies.

Required Skills:

• University degree in Engineering or Computer Science (or comparable education/equivalent experience), with strong programming, data analytical skills
• Minimum 4 years of work experience in Machine Learning, AI, Data engineering, big data and projects
• Strong knowledge on system design, data structures, algorithms, storage systems, and cloud infrastructure

• Hands-on experience in using Palantir Foundry's advanced apps
• Hands-on experience in one or more cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud is a plus.
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, TypeScript/Java Script and SQL
• Proven experience in designing and implementing end to end data pipelines and deploying ML and AI models
• Experience in working with shared code repository (VSS, SVN or Git)
• Experience in the re/insurance industry is a plus
• Communicate clearly and simply, even when dealing with complicated problems and ideas, and do so both orally and in writing. When interacting with colleagues, adjust your communication style to meet the needs of others.
• Open-minded, intellectually curious and enjoy continually learning from a variety of sources.
• A self-starter and able to solve problems and develop solutions
