🫀Who are we?
The creation of Volta Medical follows the discovery of a new medical approach to aid in the treatment of atrial fibrillation (the most common cardiac arrhythmia in the world) by the company’s founders, world experts in interventional electrophysiology and intracardiac signal analysis.  Volta Medical is an innovative start-up based in Marseille, whose goal is to provide a range of artificial intelligence-based products to guide the cardiologist during ablation-type procedures.  We started this adventure 7 years ago and our team now has nearly 120 employees in France, Germany and the United States! We completed a $27 million Series A round in November 2020 and a $38 million Series B round in January 2023.

🫀Missions

• Install, configure, and optimize Linux systems (Debian, Ubuntu, SUSE) and core services such as Apache web server and relational databases, using automation tools like Ansible and GitLab CI/CD.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex Level 2 and Level 3 technical incidents across systems and networks.
• Monitor the health and performance of systems, applications, and infrastructure components.
• Design and maintain automation scripts for deployment, configuration, and system maintenance (Python, Bash, etc.).
• Strengthen system and application security through regular patching, hardening, and vulnerability mitigation.
• Configure and maintain network settings (e.g., bonding, routing, DNS, SSH) to ensure connectivity and performance.
• Plan and execute the migration of legacy systems to modern platforms with minimal downtime.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker, Swarm, or Kubernetes in a microservices architecture.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including support procedures and operational guides.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth deployment, scalability, and maintainability of IT services. 

🫀Profile

• You have a background in computer science with a strong focus on network architecture and systems administration.
• You bring at least 4 years of hands-on experience in a similar role.
• You have a foundational understanding of cloud infrastructure and are comfortable managing cloud-based services.
• You are proficient with virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V.
• You are well-versed in system administration tools and technologies, and can operate efficiently in Linux-based environments.
• You have a solid understanding of key network protocols and configurations, including LACP, bonding, VLANs, and routing.
• Experience working with enterprise-grade networking equipment (Nexus, Cisco, Juniper) is a strong advantage.
• You manage Linux firewalls (e.g., iptables, firewalld) and have a good grasp of SELinux policies and enforcement.
• You have a strong awareness of infrastructure and system security best practices.
• You possess deep expertise in Linux distributions such as Debian, Ubuntu, and SUSE.
• You have hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Ansible and Terraform.
• You are familiar with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
