About the Role

As a Senior SDET Engineer, you’ll develop and maintain test automation frameworks for enterprise web, mobile, and API platforms. You’ll collaborate with distributed teams to enforce best practices in quality, speed, and reliability. Through curiosity and positivity, you’ll ensure seamless, high-quality product experiences for global clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing Test Plans
    • Create and maintain comprehensive test plans for complex programs with numerous test cases.
    • Define and document test requirements and design strategies to address various functional and non-functional areas.
  • QA Strategy and Continuous Improvement
    • Establish and define the QA strategy for the team and projects.
    • Implement, test, and adjust quality strategies as needed to continuously improve the quality assurance process.
  • Implementation of Testing Practices
    • Apply and promote best practices in both manual and automated testing.
    • Design and execute tests to ensure complete coverage of functionalities and early defect detection.
  • Collaboration in Agile Methodologies
    • Work closely with Agile teams to integrate QA processes into the Agile development cycle.
    • Facilitate quality review meetings and provide constructive feedback.
  • Development and Management of Test Automation
    • Design, implement, and maintain test automation frameworks using Playwright.
    • Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.

 

About You

The essentials:

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years as an SDET Engineer, or other relevant role specializing in test automation.
  • Strong familiarity with the Mac and iOS ecosystem.
  • Experience testing across multiple platforms, including web, mobile, and native macOS applications.
  • Proven hands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium, and other modern test automation frameworks.
  • Experience with TypeScript, Swift, Python, Ruby, and other modern programming languages.

Not a must, but a plus:

  • Ability to design comprehensive test plans and prioritize test cases based on risk and impact in complex projects.
  • Experience testing with BDD frameworks like Behave and Gherkin.
  • Proficiency using Jenkins or comparable CI tools.
  • Strong collaboration skills in distributed, agile environments.
  • Good understanding of development lifecycles, testing methodologies, and QA processes.
  • Good debugging and troubleshooting skills with a passion for quality.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, facilitating clear and effective communication across team members and departments. Consulting background preferred.

What We Offer

BAY AREA salary range

$130.000 — $170.000 USD
