Job Overview:  

The Technology Specialist builds software applications using languages and technologies of the .NET framework. They are responsible for designing, coding, testing, and deploying applications, as well as providing technical support and maintaining software throughout its lifecycle.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and development of existing Hyperion Planning applications (on-prem) as the company implements EPBCS
  •  Work with consultants and internal team to implement EPBCS with Financial and Project modules including business rules, substitution variables, user security model, web forms, etc.
  • Collaborate and drive strategic thinking in the development of forecasting models for large projects, metadata management, and data integration
  • Provide input for functional and technical design and then deliver on the development of those design decisions
  • Assist in SIT and UAT of various EPM application implementations
  • Work with EPM/Hyperion vendor to pursue vendor support when necessary
  • Work with business and IT teams to disposition incidents as either a bug or an enhancement and drive a regular prioritization of their respective execution
  • Define requirements in accordance with SDLC, management, and project/product scope Ensure problem statements and objectives are clearly defined
  • Ensure requirements are aligned with project scope, objectives, and strategies
  • Ensure the PLM system functionality meets the business objectives of the Design and Global Sourcing organization
  • Analyze business process flow and use case; create business requirements for any system or process changes necessary to ensure efficient and seamless operations
  • Provide weekly status updates on progress toward deliverables and milestones
  • Effectively managing time to assure commitments are met and customers are satisfied
  • Backend / Server-Side Development (ASP.Net/ C#/ MVC/ Web application/ RESTful API/ Oracle
  • Analyze technologies, technical processes and/or functions
  • Develop high quality, well-factored code using TDD
  • Write integration and UI automation tests
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, disparate user groups / development teams to help gather requirements
  • Troubleshoot and respond to system issues when required
  • Responsible for ensuring these systems are developed and run in such a way that they are robust, reliable and maintainable from the start, applying techniques such as unit testing, continuous integration, automated testing and system monitoring
  • Involved in the development itself, play a full and active role in team decisions, and be expected to help out in lots of other areas too as needed
  • Manage stakeholder expectations appropriately and ensure that these expectations are consistently met or exceeded

Languages/Technologies: 

  • C#, ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core, MVC, Web API, ADO.NET, LINQ, Entity Framework, Angular
  • Frontend: HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, CSS, Bootstrap, Angular 
  • Databases: SQL Server (2008/2012), MySQL, Oracle 
  • Tools/IDE: Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code 
  • Version Control: GIT, TFS, Azure dev ops 
  • Architecture: 3-tier architecture, RESTful APIs, Windows Services, Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture, Microservices 
  • Methodologies: Agile (SCRUM), Waterfall  
  • Other: Debugging, Unit Testing, Deployment, End-User Training
  • Cloud technologies: Azure, AWS
  • Nice to have: Python, machine learning frameworks, AI Fundamentals trainings/certifications, domain knowledge of Time Management and/or Payroll processes for professional and craft employees a plus. 

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • 7+ years development and support experience
  • Experience in global enterprise environments.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and ServiceNow is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in IT supporting EPCI business applications as a lead or administrator
  • Experience in and understanding of Accounting (P&L, BS, Cash Flow)
  • Ability to work as a team member as well as act as a team leader
  • Have wide experience with technical experiences
  • Communication and presentation skills, both written and spoken
  • Strong finance and accounting background coupled with a strong track record in administering and implementing EPM/Hyperion-related technology projects in large and complex environments
  • Strong hands-on experience configuring, deploying, and developing solutions 3DEXP Platform 201X and/or ENVOVIA V6 and several of their corresponding modules
  • Experience with Dassault PLM Enovia 3D Experience 2017
  • Advanced education (i.e., MBA or other master’s level education) preferred but not required
