POSITION: Senior Data Engineer

LOCATION: 12200 Herbert Wayne Court, Suite 150, Huntersville, NC 28078



Duties: Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into Data Warehouse and Data Lake. Implement efficient data integration processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and timeliness. Collaborate with data architects to define and implement data models that support business requirements. Optimize data structures for storage and query performance. Clean, transform, and preprocess raw data to prepare it for analysis. Apply data quality checks and validation processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Administer and maintain databases, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security. Monitor database performance and optimize query execution. Work with big data technologies to handle large volumes of data efficiently. Implement data security measures and compliance standards to protect sensitive information. Ensure adherence to data privacy regulations and company policies. 100% telecommuting allowed from anywhere in the U.S.



Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and Four (4) years of experience as a Data Engineer, Integration Engineer, or related occupation. Employer will accept a Master’s Degree Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and Two (2) years of experience as a Data Engineer, Integration Engineer, or related occupation in lieu of the Bachelor’s Degree and Four (4) years of experience.



Must possess demonstrated experience with the following skills:

BigQuery and Snowflake;
RDBMS such as PostgreSQL or MS-SQL;
Talend;
Google Cloud Platform or other similar cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS;
Terraform;
CI/CD;
Version Control tools such as GitHub or Bitbucket;
JIRA and Confluence;
Streaming services such as Kafka or Google Pub/Sub;
Programming languages such as Python, SQL, Shell, or Bash;
Linux operating system;
MDM (Master Data Management);
Data models, database design development, data mining, and segmentation techniques; and
DBT.
