Junior Power Trader

Volton Hellenic Energy SA is a Greek company that is dynamically active and is rapidly increasing its capacity in the field of Electricity Supply and Trading, in the Gas Energy Sector and Telecommunications (through Orizon).

As part of its development, Volton strengthens its human resources in Athens and is seeking a Junior Power Trader.

Position responsibilities

• Monitor energy markets and describe market dynamics
• Use existing analytic and forecasting tools and develop new ones
• Trade energy across European markets
• Contribute to the development of trading strategies and tools
• Optimize current data visualization applications as well as build new ones
• Prepare and deliver periodic and ad-hoc reports
• Prepare and deliver PnL and KPI reports
• Monitor energy market regulatory framework updates

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics or Engineering
• Previous professional experience in energy markets trading/analysis will be considered an asset
• Background in data analysis and machine learning techniques will be considered a plus
• Programming and database skills, preferably in Python and SQL
• Fluency in English, both written and oral
