Data Methodologist Manager (Liver diseases)

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Methodologist/Data manager to join our Liver Metabolism and Infections team (LivMI). Our group is mainly focused on Metabolic-dysfunction Associated Steatotic Liver Disease (MASLD). The successful candidate will support the statistical design and analysis of upcoming and ongoing clinical research projects.
Education and qualifications:
Required:- Bachelor’s degree in health-related sciences, statistics or maths
- Master’s degree in Bioinformatics and Biostatistics or similar
- Fluency in Catalan, Spanish and English
Experience and knowledge:
Required:- At least 2 years of experience working in statistics applied to clinical projects (clinical trials or research projects)
- Advanced Excel
- Proficiency in data analysis software: R, Python, STATA or SPSS
- Experience developing data management plans (DMP)
Desired:
- Knowledge of RedCap
- Scientific publications
- Experience in basic research (i.e. working in bioinformatics pipelines)
- Proactive attitude and ability to work independently and within a team
Main responsibilities and duties:
- Manage databases; ensure data integrity, security and availability
- Development of the statistical design of upcoming projects
- Perform the statistical analysis when projects are over
- Preparation of reports and presentations
- Writing scientific manuscripts
- Provide statistical support to other team members
- Clinical data entry
- Give support to other project management tasks
- Attend and participate in the unit’s regular activities
- Participate in the team meetings
Labour conditions:
- Full-time position: 40h/week
- Starting date: immediate
- Gross annual salary: 33.000 – 39.000 euros (Remuneration will depend on experience and skills. Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale)
- Contract: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project activities
