Position Summary:

As the Retail Data Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and building comprehensive data solutions, implementing and maintaining these solutions to ensure optimal performance, and driving adoption and business outcomes across the organization. Your work will involve integrating disparate systems, ensuring data integrity and security, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive data solutions that align with business goals.
  • Create and maintain data architecture and standards.
  • Design scalable and efficient data processes, including the integration of disparate systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and design solutions.
  • Ensure data integrity and security in all designs.
  • Deploy data solutions and ensure they are operational.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Maintain documentation for all implemented solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Promote the use of new technology solutions across the organization.
  • Provide training and support to ensure successful adoption.
  • Gather feedback and continuously improve solutions.
  • Measure and report on the impact of technology solutions.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science required. Master’s degree would be considered a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 - 15 years of experience. 
  • Hands-on experience with data modeling and data analysis to generate actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and managing data, and experience with Python and other scripting languages for automation and data manipulation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and the Power Platform, including Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps.
  • Basic familiarity with Azure SQL MI, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Factory.
  • Experience with monitoring and optimizing system performance using tools such as Performance Monitor, Nagios, SolarWinds, Dynatrace, and New Relic.
  • Experience in delivering projects using Agile methodology, including tools like Kanban, DevOps, and Trello.
  • Experience with automation and data analytics tools or platforms to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, including presenting information and updates to senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Strategic mindset to drive innovation and ensure the successful adoption of new technologies across the organization.
  • Curiosity and a proactive approach to learning and exploring new technologies and methodologies.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 20lbs.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting, standing and walking.
