Data Analyst II or III

Hiring Salary Range for Level II: $75,500 - $113,300
Hiring Salary Range for Level III: $99,900 - $149,900
Compensation is determined by a combination of factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, and certifications. The actual offer may vary, reflecting the candidate's unique blend of experience, educational background, and skill level.
The Data Analyst II or II will assist the Data Services team to promote enhanced data fluency throughout Dairyland Power Cooperative. Responsible for managing, optimizing, overseeing, and monitoring data retrieval, storage, and distribution of data throughout the organization’s local and cloud data stores. Responsible for finding trends in data sets and developing algorithms to help make raw data more useful for the enterprise. Ability to optimize data retrieval and implement best practices for developing dashboards, reports, and other visualizations for stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Analyze and organize raw data, and combine data from various sources
2. Build data set processes, pipelines, algorithms, prototypes
3. Determine business needs and objectives, interpret trends and patterns
4. Conduct complex data analysis and develop data visualization
5. Prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modeling
6. Identify and develop ways to enhance data reliability, efficiency, and quality
7. Identify and develop opportunities for data acquisition
8. Deploy sophisticated analytics programs, machine learning and artificial intelligence
9. Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:
Level II: Associate Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or Information Systems or related field and five (5) years relevant experience.
Level III: Associate Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or Information Systems or related field and eight (8) years relevant experience.
Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Prefer Data Analyst III will consider Data Analyst II
Skills: Strong IT experience with scripting, database calls, statistics, and visual presentation layer. Additional experience with database functions, cloud data storage, ETL tools and troubleshooting. Ability to determine and organize complex project/support tasks with minimal supervision. Ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team. Strong attention to detail with consistent accuracy and success in controlling errors. Maintain data security, confidentiality, and integrity.
Previous experience/skills preferred in: Strong experience in developing data visualizations with tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar. Considerable scripting and statistics skills. Technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques; Knowledge of analytics languages (e.g., Python, R). In-depth knowledge of SQL language, database design and architecture. Great numerical and analytical skills; Project leadership.
