Business Intelligence Analyst

Are you a data-driven professional with a proven track record in healthcare analytics? Nebraska Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team. This role is not entry-level and requires hands-on experience with SQL, SSIS, Tableau or Power BI, and a deep understanding of healthcare or complex data environments. Applicants must meet all required qualifications and be prepared to demonstrate their technical and analytical capabilities through supplemental questions.   • Candidates must reside in NE or IA
  • This is not 100% remote position - MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ON CAMPUS
  • Candidates must have 2+ years of hands-on experience leading business intelligence and data analysis
  • Preferred consideration will be given candidates with understanding of Healthcare Domain

Join our innovative organization as a Business Intelligence Analyst, where you'll directly support C-suite decisions through powerful business insights. You'll be at the intersection of healthcare strategy, advanced analytics, and executive leadership, translating complex healthcare data into actionable business insights and strategies. As a key analyst, you'll collaborate with business intelligence leads, clinical program leaders, and cross-functional teams to shape the future of healthcare delivery while leveraging cutting-edge BI tools.                
 

Required Qualifications: Business Intelligence Analyst                         

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, Business, Finance, Management Information Systems, or related fields required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in business intelligence and data analysis including writing SQL queries, building ETL processes using SSIS, and utilizing data visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI required.
  • Proven analytical skills with ability to organize, maintain, process and analyze vast amounts of information and complex issues and communicate findings in a clear, concise manner including verbally, graphically and in writing to a variety of audiences required.
  • Ability to lead business requirement sessions with key stakeholders to identify objectives and business needs required.                                        
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills required.    
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy, integrity, and documentation required.    
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and execute work independently and effectively within frequent deadlines required.                                    
  • Ability to maintain effective interpersonal skills with internal and external staff and audiences required.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills required.                            
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment required.                        
  • Strong personal computer skills, database management experience and knowledge of statistics required.

Preferred Qualifications: Business Intelligence Analyst

  • Working knowledge of: Microsoft Office 365, Geographic Information Systems (ESRI ArcGIS); Knowledge of healthcare strategic intelligence systems such as Sg2 preferred.                    
  • Experience with predictive modeling, machine learning, R and Python a preferred.        
  • Experience in a health care environment and knowledge of healthcare data preferred.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
