The role

As a Senior Data Scientist at Zühlke, you turn ideas into real-world impact—uncovering the true value of data and leading the journey from concept to practical application through advanced AI and machine learning solutions.

How you'll make an impact

• You will take on the technical leadership of client projects (defining the methodological approach, developing use cases with clients, advising clients on technical matters, and presenting and explaining results).

• You will lead the development of machine learning pipelines or develop them independently: data preparation, modeling, method selection, and validation.

• You will assess the technical and economic feasibility of machine learning solutions and help operationalize successful prototype concepts in collaboration with data platform architects.

• As an expert, you will also support the acquisition of new client projects and be part of an interdisciplinary bid team.

What's important to us

• You have at least four years of professional or research experience in the field of machine learning after completing your studies. Experience with implementing projects in industry or services is a plus.

• You bring strong and versatile knowledge in machine learning and statistics. Solid experience in the area of generative AI is essential for this position.

• You have excellent Python skills, experience in software development, database systems, and cloud technologies, as well as solid knowledge of MLOps.

• Thanks to your confident communication with clients, strong self-motivation, and passion for data science topics, you take ownership of projects and help advance our ML/DS capabilities.

• You have a university degree in computer science, mathematics, or a comparable field. A PhD in a machine-learning-related field is a plus, but not mandatory

• Excellent German and English skills are required..
