To achieve its ambitious strategy Randstad is moving to a globally harmonized future state operating model. Standardization of tools and processes will support and drive this (digital) transformation. As part of this transformation, we are migrating from scattered local legacy systems to a set of state-of-the-art core systems which include our app, websites, front-, mid- and back-office. This transformation also offers the opportunity and need to redesign and implement a completely new data architecture to support our future analytical products as well as position Randstad to capitalize on AI.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development of a new global data warehouse and BI tool. As our new Analytics Engineering Solutions Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our data landscape. You'll be the driving force behind building accessible data products for all stakeholders.

The scope of the Analytics Engineering Solutions Architect includes:

• Data flows within the global data platform

• Data management

• Ensuring our solutions are enabling analytics

what you will be doing

The Analytics Engineering Solutions Architect focuses on leading development of the data warehouse and Looker implementation to provide access to quality, appropriate data in partnership with the Global Data Architect and Data Engineering Solutions Architect.

As Analytics Engineering Solutions Architect your tasks will include: 

• Leading the development, management and modelling of data within our data warehouse

• Defining development standards and processes

• Developing an efficient, professional and reliable code base for our data warehouse

• Leading the development and implementation of a new Looker Enterprise solution

• Ensuring data quality is engrained in our solutions and ensuring ongoing monitoring of  the quality (usefulness, correctness, completeness) of data

• Leading and mentoring team members

• Collaborating closely with the Data Engineering Solutions Architect to ensure usable, performant data

• Collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure usability of data products

• Developing and implementing security models to ensure compliance with data privacy

• Ensuring ongoing optimisations and continual improvement of the data platform and processes

who will you work with

The Analytics Engineering Solutions Architect is a key member of the s-one development team reporting to the Global Lead Data Architect and functionally to the Product Owner of the steering program (s-one). Other key stakeholders for this role are the Global Data Architect, Legal & Data Privacy, the Product Manager, the Product Owner for our data dictionary and Implementation Manager(s).

With data & analytics being vital to the success of all our strategic initiatives, a successful candidate will be a highly motivated professional with knowledge and experience in leading the design and implementation of data products.  We would like you to have experience in the following areas:

• Developing GCP data solutions (Big Query, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Orchestration, IAM, monitoring)

• Data Modelling and optimisations

• Terraform

• LookML

• Python

• DBT

• Data privacy
